Other Organizational Needs….

Positions are summarized below and grouped by needing administrative skills or lacrosse skills

Travel Coordinator – administrative
The schedule is done for us, we need to confirm usually via email with the other teams and the refs on a weekly basis.  Need one for Girls and Boys

Game Scheduler- administrative
As part of our long term plan to increase the skills and value of NYLA, we have rented additional field space at ASP to supplement our league schedule.  We need someone who can help us coordinate the details of additional games with surrounding towns for extra games each week.  Duties involve confirming games, usually via email, with the other town’s and refs.

U9 Coordinator – administrative
The league is supporting a U9 program but it is still in its infancy.  We need someone who can help coordinate with other towns for games.

Field Support – We need a number of folks in this group and the work is usually only once per week.  This helps us keep our costs low.  Jobs are:
- Paint lines on Girls and Boys Fields—this requires some skill, but you can be trained.
- Game Day Field set up for home games for both Girls (Fuller) and Boys (NOCK) Fields.  Duties include showing up at 12:30 on Sunday and making sure goals are set up correctly, placing cones on the corners, and ensuring the field box (we provide) has timer, horn, etc.
- Game Day Breakdown is the opposite of above and done after our last games.

Hospitality – administrative
We introduced a program to sell water and snacks at all home games with the intention of allowing us to fund our tournament teams.  We need someone who can coordinate volunteer activities to include manning the booth at home games for both Boys and Girls home games only.   We also need volunteers to man the booths.

Player Development – Administrative/LAX skills
We need someone to help screen the many programs that we can offer to our members.  These programs include summer camps, fall/winter programs etc.  The goal is to provide NYLA members with a single point of contact for developing LAX skills.

Boys Coordinator and Girls Coordinator – Administrative/LAX skills.
To act as a go between the coaches and the NYLA Board.  Duties include identifying equipment/uniform/player needs, and coaching coordinator.

Coaches and Assistant Coaches – Administrative and LAX Skills
We need on field coaches at every level.  As our program has grown and the team sizes have grown, we’ve recognized that need to have a minimum of 4 coaches per team.
All coaches must be CORI’d.
